The FIA GT1 team Gigawave is set to close down according to a report in Autosport Magazine.Gigawave and Nissan were development partners on the V-8 GT-R race car in 2009, and were to help coordinate sales and spares for the cars in 2010.
The move is reported to be financial in nature, with Nissan now looking for another European agent and team to run the program in GT1 next year. The Swiss Racing Team have two additional GT1 GT-Rs they will be entering in 2010.
